Pricing & Margin Control

Price every quote. Protect every margin, floor, and deal.

Customer-specific rates, volume tiers, and configurable floors — applied the same way whether a rep writes the quote or AI drafts it. Discount pressure has a hard stop, and it isn't anyone's willpower.

THE CHALLENGE

Margin shouldn't depend on who typed the quote.

Customer-specific rates, volume breaks, and floors only work if they apply the same way on every line — whether a person or the AI is pricing it.

01

Pricing lives in a spreadsheet

List price here, a side deal there, last quarter's discount in someone's inbox. Nobody can say what this customer should pay today.

02

Floors depend on memory

Reps know the 'don't go below' number until a buyer pushes hard. Then the floor becomes a suggestion, and margin leaks one exception at a time.

03

AI and humans price differently

If the engine uses one rulebook and the sales team uses another, returning buyers see different numbers — and you lose the argument about consistency.

CAPABILITIES

Everything you need to price with confidence.

Floors, customer rates, and volume breaks — one rulebook, applied on every quote.

Margin control

Configurable floors and targets per product, customer, or deal. The floor is enforced in the workflow — not as a reminder after the quote has already gone out.

Customer-specific pricing

Contract rates, gold-tier lists, and one-off agreements load automatically. Repeat buyers don't restart from list price every time they request a quote.

Volume & tiered rates

Breaks resolve at the line, not in a follow-up email. Quantity changes recalculate price and margin instantly — including during a live negotiation.

Real-time insights

See margin, vs-list, and headroom on every line as the price moves. Know what a discount actually costs before you offer it.

Same rules for AI and reps

The Quote Engine drafts against the same floors and customer rates your team uses. No shadow spreadsheet. No 'the AI gave them a better price.'

Audit trail on every exception

If someone overrides a floor, it's a logged decision — who, when, and why — not a silent cell change in a shared workbook.

HOW IT WORKS

From rulebook to closed deal.

Set the floors once. Every quote — drafted or negotiated — stays inside them.

  1. Rules

    Set floors and lists

Configure margin floors, targets, and customer or contract rates once. They apply to every channel that prices a line.

  2. Resolve

    Price resolves at the line

Volume breaks, customer rates, and list price stack in a defined order. Quantity or config changes recalculate instantly.

  3. Guard

    The floor holds

AI drafts and human edits are checked the same way. A below-floor price is blocked or flagged before it can be sent.

  4. Live

    Negotiate on the same rules

Counters in the Sales Room still see live margin. The floor does not disappear because the conversation moved out of the quote form.

HOW PRICING ACTUALLY HOLDS

Every suggestion respects your margin. By construction.

Floors and customer rates are not a policy doc. They sit in the pricing path — so a quote, a counter, and an AI suggestion all see the same numbers.

MARGIN GUARDRAILS

Set the floor once. It holds on every deal.

Configure minimum and target margin per product, customer, or deal. Reps can still negotiate — they just cannot slip below the floor without a logged override.

The same guardrails sit under AI drafts and live counters in the Sales Room. Fast is only useful if it stays inside the number you actually care about.

CUSTOMER RATES

Repeat buyers don't restart from list price.

Contract rates, tier lists, and last-agreed prices load with the customer. The Quote Engine and the storefront resolve against the same book.

VOLUME BREAKS

Quantity moves. Price and margin follow.

Tiers resolve at the line as quantity changes — in the quote form and in the live room. No "let me check the volume sheet and email you back."

You see the margin that remains after the break, so a volume concession is a decision, not a surprise.

QTY 600₹3.48 · 24% margin · floor holds

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Pricing & Margin Control FAQs

Can I set different margin floors per product or customer?

Yes. Floors and targets can be set globally, then overridden per product, customer, or deal. A gold-tier contract can sit above the default floor; a new buyer can sit on list until you decide otherwise. The engine resolves the most specific rule at quote time.

Does the AI have to respect the same floors as my sales team?

Yes — that's the point. The Quote Engine drafts against the same customer rates, volume breaks, and floors your reps see. There is one price book, not a human book and an AI book.

What happens if someone tries to send below the floor?

The send is blocked or flagged, depending on how you configure overrides. A below-floor price cannot leave as a silent exception. If you allow an override, it is a logged decision with who, when, and why.

Do volume breaks update during a live negotiation?

Yes. Quantity changes in the Digital Sales Room recalculate line price and remaining margin immediately, including whether the new break would breach the floor.

How do customer-specific prices get into the system?

Import contract rates, map customers to a price list, or capture the last agreed price from a won quote. Returning buyers load that history automatically so the next draft does not restart from list.

Is this a separate product from the AI Quote Engine?

No. Pricing & Margin Control is the rulebook the Quote Engine, Sales Room, configurator, and storefront all read. You configure it once; every quote path uses it.
